FC Emmen

With a branch in the Dutch city of Emmen, Oldenburger|Fritom has been a partner of the Dutch football club FC Emmen for many years, sponsoring both the youth academy and the Girls Under-17 team. Additionally, we are a partner of the FC Emmen Naoberschap Foundation, the community department of the professional football club. With this initiative, the club wants to make a positive contribution to the local community.

About FC Emmen

FC Emmen was founded in 1925. It is the only professional football club in the Dutch province of Drenthe, with stadium ‘De Oude Meerdijk’ as its home base. On May 20^th, 2018 the football club was promoted to the premier league of the Netherlands for the very first time. Well-known former players are Jan van Beveren, Martin Drent, Wout Weghorst, Bas Dost, Tjaronn Chery, and the club's top scorer Michel van Oostrum.

FC Emmen Youth Academy

Oldenburger|Fritom has been actively involved in the youth academy of FC Emmen for many years. In this context, we also contribute to the FC Emmen Football School. With this football school, FC Emmen wants to improve the skills of young talent in the region. The goal is to prepare the young footballers for a possible progression to the youth academy. The FC Emmen Football School has three age categories: Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10.

Girls Under-17 Team

In the 2026/2027 season, FC Emmen has an official Girls Under-17 team for the first time. This is the result of a project that began with the Football Academy in 2024. In the years that followed, the project grew into a pool of talented players. With the girls' team, the club aims to offer female talents from the Northern Netherlands a place to further develop themselves.

Attention to youth well-being is the common thread in Oldenburger|Fritom's CSR policy. That is why, in addition to being a partner of FC Emmen, we are also a proud supporter of the Jarige Job Foundation. As the main sponsor of the girls' team in the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, we have therefore given our spot on the kits to Jarige Job.

FC Emmen Naoberschap Foundation

In 2018, the club established the FC Emmen Naoberschap Foundation. This is the community department of FC Emmen. Several social projects have been initiated by this foundation, like activities for the elderly and stimulating the participation in sports for people with disabilities. Next to this the project FC Emmen Streetleague was started, where young people receive football training on neighborhood squares and can follow workshops.

The foundation also helps people who have a distance to the labor market. For this reason the foundation works side-by-side with the Dutch unemployment agency UWV and USG-restart. Our partnership with the FC Emmen Naoberschap foundation already brought us a new colleague. Working at Oldenburger|Fritom gave him the chance of a future to look forward to.
