Customs and AEO Awareness Training

To ensure optimal safety throughout the supply chain, Oldenburger|Fritom holds the AEO status. We are in possession of the AEO Customs Simplifications (AEO-C) and the AEO Security (AEO-S) authorizations. Training on this subject was recently held at our facility in Veendam.

Thanks to our AEO status, Oldenburger|Fritom is recognized worldwide as a reliable business partner. Maintaining this status requires adherence to strict customs regulations and the consistent assumption of responsibility—not only by the employees handling international transport but by the entire organization.

For these reasons, various colleagues from all our business units recently attended a Customs & AEO Awareness Training session:

Raising awareness
During the training, our colleagues gained insight into AEO awareness, covering topics such as: “What does the AEO status mean for Oldenburger|Fritom?”, “What are the benefits of our AEO status for our customers?”, and “What role do you, as an employee, play in this?”

In addition, the training covered the fundamentals of customs operations, including:

• General information about Customs;
• Customs processes;
• The relationship between Dutch Customs and the European Union;
• Union goods and non-Union goods;
• Customs warehouse (operated by Oldenburger|Fritom);
• Customs value, goods classification, and origin determination;
• Incoterms.

Upon completion, our colleagues received a certificate of participation.
