Today, Oldenburger|Fritom welcomed partners and project members from Logitalent to our facility in Veendam. Logitalent is a collaborative partnership involving educational institutions, businesses, and government bodies in the Northeastern Netherlands, all aiming to create a future-proof logistics sector in our region.
The transport and logistics sector in the Northeastern Netherlands plays a pivotal role in the regional economy yet faces significant challenges—including automation, robotization, the transition to sustainability, and a tight labor market. To tackle these challenges and seize opportunities, investing in well-trained employees and new talent is essential. This is where the Logitalent project comes into play.
Logitalent is a partnership between educational institutions, companies, and government authorities in the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe, and the north of the province of Overijssel. By pooling knowledge, resources, and personnel, the initiative aims to establish a future-proof logistics sector in the region.
Family Business Culture
During the visit, Oldenburger|Fritom explained, among other things, how we structurally invest in our colleagues. The culture within our family business focuses on striking the right balance between personal development and collective ambition; consequently, we invest over 3 percent of our total wage bill in training and education each year.
We also organize joint sessions on personal leadership, with a strong emphasis on the growth mindset. With a flat organizational structure, various colleagues fulfill the role of culture carrier. In this way, Oldenburger|Fritom aims to continue distinguishing itself as a logistics knowledge organization in the Northeastern Netherlands.Â
Oldenburger|Fritom looks back on a successful gathering and thanks everyone for attending and for their interest in our company.
