Master Black Belts: Marienus van der Laan and Pieter Booi

Our colleagues Marienus van der Laan and Pieter Booi recently obtained the Master Black Belt (MBB) certificate. This is the highest level of expertise within the Lean Six Sigma method, which runs like a common thread through Oldenburger|Fritom's business operations.

In Lean Six Sigma, the customer is central. In summary, this means that we focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence to add value to the supply chains of our customers.

This is closely intertwined with the daily work of both our Commercial Manager, Marienus (on the right in the photo), and Pieter, our QHSE & Improvement Manager. While Pieter focuses primarily on lean management of our business processes, Marienus translates this into commercial terms for our customers.

Role in our organization
As certified Master Black Belts, Marienus and Pieter work closely with our other Master Black Belts, Mandy Hartmann and Mats Dale. All four of them guide our organization in the Lean Six Sigma method and ensure that we achieve our set goals. Additionally, they collaborate with our Black Belts and Green Belts on large-scale improvement projects that contribute to our business strategy.
