Guus de Vries is Oldenburger|Fritom’s new Commercial Manager

TRANSFER NEWS – We welcome Guus de Vries as our new Commercial Manager. This key position became vacant as Marienus van der Laan is leaving Oldenburger|Fritom after nearly 20 years of service to take the next step in his career. Guus will succeed him effective November 15th.

Guus, 44, was born in the northern Dutch city of Assen and began his career as a professional footballer in the Eerste Divisie (First Division). During his professional football career, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Economics at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the northern Dutch city of Groningen.

In 2011, after successfully completing his education, Guus transitioned from professional footballer to commercial staff member at the northern Dutch football club FC Emmen. The following year, he became an account manager, and three years ago, he was promoted to commercial manager.

In short, Guus brings a wealth of commercial expertise with him. At Oldenburger|Fritom, he will focus on our innovative growth ambitions, acquiring new customers, and expanding our existing partnerships.
